Borrow By Mail Service

This service allows library users to request, receive, and return items via Canada Post.

Requesting Items

Users can request materials from our online catalogue and select 'ECRL - Borrow By Mail' as a pickup location. Users that do not have access to the internet or require assistance in placing title requests are welcome to call our toll-free phone number at 1-855-787-7323 (call Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm).

Receiving Items

Library materials sent by mail will arrive in a black bag with a plastic window displaying the postage information (See Figure 1). If you receive more than one mail bag at a time, it is important that you note which items came from each bag as these items must be returned in the same bag.

ECRL items borrowed using the Borrow By Mail service have a borrowing period of four weeks.
