Eastern Counties Regional Library (ECRL) is pleased to share the 2025-2026 Strategic Operational Plan. The 2025-2026 Strategic Operational Plan outlines ECRL's activities for the year, highlighting current projects and initiatives, as well as their funding sources. The plan was informed by the results of ECRL’s strategic planning and community engagement process, which ATN Strategies conducted on behalf of the Library Board in late 2024 and early 2025.
With the release of the 2025-2026 Strategic Operational Plan, ECRL has adapted its strategic planning process to the current provincial funding environment. Library Boards across the province don’t know what their funding will be in 2026-2027. Planning years in advance isn’t feasible now, but communicating our current activities and projects to the community is possible and helpful. The key takeaway from what we heard is that ECRL needs to communicate its activities more widely. This plan will help achieve this change.
The 2025-2026 Strategic Operational Plan has a survey link for feedback to help build on the strategic planning work to date and increase community engagement. We invite the public to participate in this survey. This survey will be available online until September 30 and paper copies are available at any branch location.
