Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA)
The Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA) is Canada’s most comprehensive accessible reading service, providing books and other materials to Canadians with print disabilities in the format of their choice. Options include audiobooks on CD, printed braille, and digital formats. CELA provides access to professionally produced titles to provide people with print disabilities with a quality library experience.
CELA’s collection of free accessible formats is available to all ECRL users with a print disability. The first step toward accessing the CELA collection is to register for a library card. Register online, visit your nearest library branch, or call ECRL’s Regional Office at 1-855-787-7323 for assistance.
Once they have a library card, anyone with a print disability can register for CELA at https://celalibrary.ca/register using their library card number. Or contact CELA directly at 1-855-655-2273 for registration assistance.
