Phase 3 Service Announcement

Beginning Monday, March 21st, Nova Scotia will be lifting gathering limits, social distancing and mask restrictions (except in schools). Even without formal public health restrictions, we can all make choices that will continue to keep each other safe.

Eastern Counties Regional Library encourages staff and the public to continue wearing masks at the library and maintaining everyday healthy habits like washing your hands, cleaning surfaces, covering coughs and sneezes and staying home if you feel sick. Socially distanced check-out stations will remain in place at library branches to support those who still wish to keep a safe distance from other people while out and about.

Visitors to ECRL locations inside schools must continue to wear masks for the next few weeks. Port Hawkesbury Public Library (located inside SAERC) will once again be open for public access beginning Monday, March 21st. Alexander Doyle Public Library in Mabou (located inside Dalbrae Academy) is expected to reopen for public access soon. Another announcement will be made when the opening date is confirmed.

COVID-19 rapid test kits continue to be available at all ECRL locations. Find your library here.

As always, ECRL users have continued access to Borrow by Mail, Digital Library Services, and more. Learn more about the power of your library card here.
