Public Libraries Resuming Rapid Test Kit Distribution

Eastern Counties Regional Library (ECRL) locations are resuming their role as pick-up locations for COVID-19 rapid test kits.

Before travelling to your nearest library, call to find out if they have test kits available. Find your library and contact information here.

For public libraries located within schools, the instructions are the same: call the library to find out if there are test kits available. The school office will not have information about test kit availability.

The supply of test kits to public libraries is limited, and future supply is uncertain. ECRL will deliver test kits in our regular shipments of library materials to library locations. This means test kits will not be available at all libraries at the same time. Supply of test kits at each library branch will be continually changing, so the public will need to call their library for updates on availability. Due to the rapidly changing situation information about test kit availability at individual locations will not be posted on the ECRL website or social media.

Regular library service will be impacted at some library locations, due to high public demand for test kits and limited staffing. Visit ecrl.ca for information about library service changes. We appreciate for your understanding as we work to respond to the changing needs of our community brought on by the ever-changing nature of the pandemic.

Please remember that masks and social distancing continue to be required for all library users and staff. As always, do not visit the library if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19.
