Canso Public Library will be closed on Friday, October 31. 

St. Peter's Public Library Closure & Relocation Notice

Effective Thursday, October 30, St. Peter's Public Library at 10036 Grenville Street, Unit C, will be closed to the public for moving preparations and relocation. 

Holds will be mailed to library users free of charge during this closure via our Borrow by Mail service. For more information about this service, please visit https://ecrl.ca/locations/borrow-by-mail-service/.

We look forward to welcoming the community to our new space at 9992 Grenville Street in the coming weeks and announcing an official reopening date.

Alexander Doyle Public Library Closure Notice

Alexander Doyle Public Library in Mabou will be closed for the rest of the day (Tuesday, October 21) due to a power outage. 

Amazon Web Services, which hoopla and other Digital Resources run on, is just now coming back online after experiencing technical issues. Some of ECRL's digital services (along with many websites) may be unavailable or slower than usual until this is fully resolved.

Thanksgiving Operations Notice

Please be advised of the following closures for the Thanksgiving holiday:

Monday, October 13 - ECRL Regional Office, Alexander Doyle Public Library (Mabou), Port Hawkesbury Public Library.

Tuesday, October 14 - Cyril Ward Memorial Public Library (Guysborough), Sherbrooke Public Library.

Wednesday, October 15 - Canso Public Library, St. Peter's Public Library.

Cyril Ward Memorial Public Library Staffing Notice

Cyril Ward Memorial Public Library in Guysborough will be unstaffed on Friday, October 10. The Open Library will be available for library users from 7 am until 9pm with an adult library card and PIN.

Internet service has been restored at the St. Peter's Public Library as of 12:30pm, today, October 2.
